Description
Artist:
Lisa Hochstein is a painter and collage artist based in Santa Cruz, California. Her work references architectural structures and urban spaces, while exploring the richness of found material and colour. The collages represented here were created exclusively from the covers of sheet music published between 1900 and 1940. Lisa's studio practice includes paintings, intensively-laboured collages, and constructions that minimally alter the salvaged remnants of everyday life.
Media:
Matt 250gsm conservation digital paper. A very versatile high quality paper made in Germany from acid and chlorine free wood pulp. The paper is manufactured on a Fourdrinier Machine, a process first perfected by and patented by the Fourdrinier brothers in 1803.
