Artist:
Christina Fedyk's abstract art is defined by a muted palette, with sparing splashes of colour. The Brighton-based artist likes to experiment with the structure and foundations of familiar shapes through painting, print-making and sculpture.
Christina's primitive mark making paired with industrial colours and shapes gives her work complex depth. In some pieces, her inspiration from nature is clear, in others, it could be an abstract vision of a dystopian future.
Her work makes a bold statement large - or make wonderful groupings in a smaller size.
Media:
Monte Carlo 300gsm watercolour paper. This premium paper made on a traditional cylinder mould machine by St Cuthbert’s Mill in Somerset where they have been making fine papers on the same site since the 1700’s. They are the only commercial paper mill in England to still use this paper-making process. Mould made paper combines the consistent quality of machine made papers, but with the individual character of handmade papers. A specialist coater adds an ink receptive coating layer, allowing us to print perfectly to conservation standards.
